SPRING EQUINOX: FIRST DAY OF SPRING
Monday, March 20, 2017
Spring Equinox is also called Vernal Equinox. It officially marks the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere (where I live). In the Southern Hemisphere, it marks the first day of fall, autumn.
Spring is a time of more light and newness and new beginnings. The sun is rising earlier and daylight is longer. The temperatures are warming up. Seeds are beginning to sprout with the longer sunlight and warmer temperatures. We are doing the same. We want to garden, plant seeds, vegetables and flowers. We want to be more active and go hiking and plan fun trips. We start creating new ideas. We plant our dreams.
Cheers to Spring!
