Sea Salt Hair Mist Recipe

In the previous posts here and here I talked about salt in cosmetic formulations. Here is a simple and easy sea salt hair mist you can make for your self.

A sea salt hair mist or spray is a styling mist to give the look of sea tousled, shiny and slightly wavy beach hair. This mist can be used on wavy, straight, curly and coily hair.

Sea Salt Hair Mist Recipe

4 ounces distilled water
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (try Pacific or Atlantic sea salt or Dead Sea salt)
optional: 1 drop lavender essential oil and 1 drop rosemary essential oil (for scent and hair benefits)
optional: 2 drops glycerin or 1/4 teaspoon aloe vera gel (for moisture)
optional: 4 drops seaweed extract

Directions

  1. Warm the distilled water (you can also try spring water or tap water)
  2. Add sea salt and stir until dissolved
  3. Add essential oils, glycerin and or aloe vera gel
  4. Mix well
  5. Pour into container with atomizer

Suggested Usage
Mist onto dry or damp hair. Mist onto ends or all of hair. Scrunch hair with hands. Allow hair to air dry.

This sea salt hair mist will keep for several months.
