Fresh Organic Skin Care

One thing I know from trying thousands of ingredients on my skin and in formulations is the power of plants and fresh organic skin care. I want to share my experience with plant-based ingredients that produce an immediate result with a natural vibrancy, softness and glow to the skin. You will be amazed at the softening of your skin and the instant glow. 

Fresh organic skin care is the purest way to care for the skin and at a fraction of the cost of commercial skin care products. Fresh vegetables, fruits, plant-based milk products, herbs and plant oils are excellent for all skin care types, especially sensitive and reactive skin.

Fruit for Radiant Skin

Watermelon:

  • Rich in antioxidants such as lycopene, vitamin C and A
  • Hydrates skin
  • Exfoliates and tones the skin
  • Brightens skin, helps lighten blemishes
  • Helps with new and old acne
  • Helps with sunburnt skin

How to Use:

Watermelon Clear Skin Mask
This is a simple remedy for blemished skin. Next time you eat watermelon, save a small piece and apply a watermelon mask.

Directions:
Smash a small piece of watermelon pulp and apply the juice to your face and neck. Use a clean mask brush, cotton ball or your fingers to apply it. Leave it on the face for 10 – 15 minutes. Wash it off with warm water and then splash your face with cool water.

Lime:

  • Packed with vitamin C, A, E, K, Calcium, Folate, Magnesium, Potassium, Choline, and Phosphorus
  • Cleanses away dirt and bacteria to unclog pores
  • Astringent, helps smooth skin
  • Brightens skin

How to Use:

Drink room temperature water with some freshly squeezed lime juice early in the morning regularly. This will provide an inner radiance to the skin.

Instant Lime Skin Brightener
Lime is one of the best instant skin brighteners. You will have an instant glow.
Note: Do this mask when you won’t be out in the full sun. The skin will be very new and fresh and exposure to the sun can cause photosensitivity.

Directions:
Mix together juice from one lime, 2 teaspoons of plant milk (soy, almond, rice, hemp, oat), 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Apply mixture to the skin and leave on for 5 minutes. Use a clean mask brush, cotton ball or your fingers to apply it. Rinse off with warm water. Splash your skin with cool water.

Tomatoes:

  • High in Potassium, vitamin A, B, C, lutein and magnesium
  • Adds sun protection to the skin
  • Promotes skin repair
  • Moisturizes and soothes the skin

Skin Tightening Tomato Mask
Tomato pulp helps to tighten the skin and promote a clear complexion.

Directions:
Tomato pulp can be applied daily to your face. Leave on for 10-30 minutes. Or try adding an equal part of plant milk with tomato pulp. Mix together and apply mixture to the skin and leave on for 10-30 minutes. Use a clean mask brush, cotton ball or your fingers to apply it. Rinse off with warm water. Splash your skin with cool water.
