| Recipe: Beautiful Belly Balm or Silky Skin Balm |
 |
This balm is great to make for a pregnant woman or use for yourself. Helps to reduce stretch marks, nourish the skin making it extra silky and soft.
- 2 oz jojoba oil
- 2 oz coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons olive oil( I infuse calendula in the oil)
- 2 oz cocoa butter (may use only cocoa butter-use 4 oz)
- 2 oz shea butter (may use only shea butter-use 4 oz)
- 1 oz beeswax (about 1 1/4 cups grated)
- scent with a few drops of vanilla essential oil (not fragrance oil, www.simplers.com has an excellent CO2 vanilla essential oil) and lavender essential oil or just use lavender
In a double broiler melt all the ingredients, stir, remove from heat and slightly cool, add essential oils, pour into containers. You may also add the essential oils directly to the balm right after pouring it into the containers.

| Tips: Nettles for Clear Skin and Shiny Hair |
 |
|
Nettles is one of the best herbs to drink as a tea for clear skin and shiny hair. Nettles cleanses the blood, nourishes and tones the body. Its rich in vitamins and minerals. Use any leftover tea to fertilize your plants or make a tea just for your plants.
How to Make an Infusion with Nettles
Place 4 tablespoons of dried nettle leaf in a glass jar (like a juice jar-one that won't shatter from boiling water), pour 4 cups of boiling water over the nettles. Let it sit overnight or for at least half a day. Strain out the nettles. Drink 1-2 cups a day, cool or warmed. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days.
You can also make a cup of regular hot tea with it. An excellent tea to drink at springtime. Use 1 tablespoon dried nettles to 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep for 5 minutes. I know of a couple of people that drink it to help with their spring allergies. You can also add some honey to your hot tea.
