Scent is one of our strongest senses. Smells of flowers and fruit uplift us and make us feel good. Many people have given up wearing synthetic perfume or fragrances* because it gives them headaches or makes them feel not well. Natural Perfume is making a comeback Used since ancient times but lost with the revolution of synthetic perfume, natural perfume promotes well-being. Natural perfume making is an art and allows you to create your own unique scent.
Natural perfumes are made from essential oils, absolutes and concretes. The art is in the blending of the scents to work together. Essential oils are derived from nature. The oil is the essence of the plant created through a distillation process from the flowers, leaves, stems, bark or roots.
This is a fantastic hands on class. We touch on the history of natural perfume, the art of perfume blending, essential oils and different types of perfume. You will create your own custom scent. Wearing perfume you've created can uplift your mood, calm you down or excite you depending on the scents you've blended.
Take home a roll-on oil perfume, an alcohol perfume, a solid perfume plus a handout on perfume making.
