DAY 1: Cold Process Soap, Swirled Soap, Goats Milk Soap,
Shampoo Bar & Shaving Soap

BASIC COLD PROCESS SOAP MAKING

Cold Process Soap Making Class handmade soap class

Cold Process Soap is the traditional way that soap has been made for many years. Soap is fun and easy to make, especially after taking a class that shows you how. More and more people are going back to using handmade bars of soap. They are mild and moisturizing to the skin and very little packaging (if any) is used and this makes soap even more eco-friendly.

Learn the basics of soap making. I will demonstrate how to make an All-Natural Herbal Soap with a basic and full proof soap recipe.

You will learn:
~ how to make all-natural handmade soap
~ how to scent naturally with essential oils
~ how to color naturally with herbs
~ oils used in soap making
~ how to work with sodium hydroxide
~ how to prolong the shelf life of your soap
~ supplies needed to make soap and where to purchase them
~ molds for soap making
~ cutting and curing your soap
~ special helpful tips when making soap

GOATS MILK SOAPS, MARBLED SOAPS & ADDITIVES

Goat's milk soap is one of my favorite soaps. It has the creamiest lather and is very moisturizing. People love my goat's milk soap. I created this formula as a complexion soap that is mild and gentle for children and sensitive skin.

You will learn
~ how to make milk soaps with goat's milk
~ how to marble soap using a separate natural color
~ how to use additives in soap: shea butter, honey, oats, herbs
~ how to make and use herbal tea water and infused herbal oils
~ how to use a lye calculator

SHAMPOO BAR & SHAVING SOAP

Shampoo Bar Soap Class shaving soap for women and men

Shampoo bars are great for camping, travel and to use on pets and with no liquid mess. They are very eco-friendly with less packaging.
Shaving bars provide a creamy and moisturizing lather making it easy to shave and leaving your skin feeling soft. Shaving bars are great for men and women.

You will learn
~
what herbs, essential oils and plant oils promote silky, shiny hair
~ how to make a creamy lather soap for shaving bars
~ essential oil scents for shaving for men and women

Take with you
One natural herbal soap
One goats milk soap

DAY 2: Rebatched/Hand Milled Soap, Liquid Soap,
Laundry & Dishwashing Soap

REBATCHED ~ HAND MILLED SOAP
Rebatched Hand Milled Soap

Rebatched soap also called hand milled soap make beautiful artisan soaps. This is an excellent way to use your soap scraps or an unscented soap base and customize it with herbs and essential oils. The colors of the herb maintain their color and won't turn brown from high heat like in the cold process. The essential oil scent will be stronger and not affected by the heat. Rebatched soaps are great for specialty molds and making decorative soaps.

BASIC LIQUID SOAP MAKING

Liquid Soap Class

Handmade natural liquid soaps are truly amazing and beautiful. Liquid soaps are ready to use right away, there is no curing time like cold process soap. They take longer to make than cold process soap but are worth it. I have discovered a way to make up to three gallons at one time. A very effective way both for your time and cost since the process does take longer you can make more liquid soap. Find out how to customize liquid soaps with scents from essential oils for women, men and children.

You will learn
~ how to make natural liquid soap using potassium hydroxide
~ how to use the alcohol and paste method and which method I prefer
~ about an easy, effective way to make up to three gallons of liquid soap without using a double boiler
~ what is pH, how to neutralize and adjust the pH for skin friendly liquid soap

LAUNDRY SOAP & DISHWASHING SOAP

Eco-Friendly Laundry Soap

Dishwashing soap and laundry soap is so easy to make. I love making and using my own handmade household soaps. The clothes and the dishes wash up clean. These soaps are eco-friendly and sustainable plus they cost very little to make. The gel laundry soap is only one penny per load, made from left over scraps from your soap.

Take with you
One liquid soap
One rebatched soap
One liquid laundry or dishwashing soap
