The Gardenia

The gardenia is one of my favorite flowers. I love floating gardenias in bowls of water and smelling the beautiful scent throughout my house. I make gardenia extract with the flowers and use it in lotions and creams.
Gardenias are from South Africa from the same family, as Madder root (Rubiaceae), a natural red dye.
